1. Middle oil, air-drying alkyd resins comprising polycarboxylic acids, aromatic monocarboxylic acids, fatty acids and polyols, which contain in condensed form 5 to 15 parts by weight of aromatic monocarboxylic acids and 41 to 52 parts by weight of fatty acids per 100 parts by weight of (solvent-free) resin, characterised in that 30 to 95% by weight of the fatty acids are diene acids and the remainder are monoene acids and saturated acids and that 100 parts by weight of resin contain 10 to 33 parts by weight of conjuene acids, the ratio by weight of monoene acids to conjuene acids being 0.3:1 to 1.3:1. |
