<p>PURPOSE:To control a turbo-supercharger for preventing its excessive high speed running and supercharging during warming-up of an engine by using oil pressure and viscosity of lubricating oil supplied for an engine. CONSTITUTION:When an engine is started at a low temperature of lubricating oil, the oil resists to run back smoothly through a diaphragm pressure chamber 25 of a driving mechanism 21 through an orifice 27. As the pressure in the chamber 25 rises, a valve body 19 is forced to be opened against a spring 23. A part of the exhaust gas bypasses an exhaust turbine 5 and passes through a bypass 17 directly into an exhaust port 9. Thereby a turbo-supercharger 4 is driven slowly. As an engine gets warmer, lubricating oil in an oil pan 14 is increased in temperature, but reduced in viscosity. Due to a result of low pressure in the chamber 25, a valve body 19 is closed, thereby having exhaust gas thoroughly flowing into the exhaust turbine 5. As the engine advances warming-up, the turbo-supercharger 4 is gradually increased in revolution speed and the engine is operated by the turbo-supercharger 4.</p> |
