The device has an adaptor housing (1, 2, 10), which is connected to an access valve (4). A valve insert (3) is arranged in axially displaceable fashion in the adaptor housing (1, 2, 10). The adaptor housing (1, 2, 10) is furthermore produced at least in part from a transparent material. This provides the possibility of monitoring the position of the valve insert (3) of the access valve (4) in a simple manner and thus of ascertaining immediately the satisfactory functioning of the access valve or any damage. <IMAGE>
