The probe removes stones from the urinary passage, having a grab at the forward end of a catheter tube, opened and shut by actuating cables guided inside the tube. A sleeve fitting closely on the forward end of the tube can be moved to and fro and supports an inflatable gaiter. A passage in the tube extends in front of the sleeve. One or more apertures (31) are formed in the catheter outer end round the periphery, and through which the cables (32) pass, each of these being secured to an actuator (34) on a mounting (38) fixed to the outside. Each cable is secured at the other end to the grab or to a guide plate or ring, so as to tilt the grab in the tube. A compressed-air supply union is provided at the outer end, while a tube (39) enclosing one or more light conductors (6) has a union (42) for the supply of a solution. Grips for moving the tubes to and fro, and also sealing rings (52,54) are provided at the outer end. |
