PURPOSE:To eliminate the tilt of a push rod and improve the feeling by fitting a cylindrical part in the inner diameter part of a retainer, as well as a conical part connected to the cylindrical part, in a control valve spring. CONSTITUTION:A brake booster is constituted in such a manner that pedalling makes a push rod 23, an air valve 20 and a control valve 19 to move forward against a power piston 12, while communicating a rear chamber 15 with the open air through passages 12f and 26, a gap between valves 20 and 19, a passage 28 and filters 29, 30 and 32, thus the power piston 12 being made to move forward by the difference in pressure between the front and rear chambers 14 and 15. In the device, a control valve spring 22 is formed by a cylindrical part 38 fitted in the valve 19 and the inner diameter part of a retainer 21 and by a conical part 38a formed unitedly in the area of the part 38. And the rear part of the conical part 38a is engaged with the staged part 41 of the push rod 23. |
