The exhaust outlet (2) of the gas turbine runs horizontally into a right angle bend (3). The bend has guide vanes (30) along its diagonal. A chimney (4) rises vertically above the bend section. It is supported from the ground (7) by posts (40) at the sides of the bend. A waste heat boiler has a horizontal inlet (8) alongside the bend at right angles to the outlet (2) from the turbine. The bend is mounted on a shaft (33) which is turned by a motor (35) through a gearbox (34). It can be rotated about the axis of the outlet (2) to discharge either into the chimney or into the waste heat boiler.
