PURPOSE:To make it possible to adjust the frequency of a tuning fork vibrator with a high precision in a short time, by processing it while measuring the leak vibration quantity of the vibrator base part. CONSTITUTION:Tuning fork vibrator 13 has both leg parts processed by cutting by the same length until a reference frequency lower than the objective frequency of vibrator 13 by a fixed frequency is obtained. That is, the frequency of oscillator 19 formed with vibrator 13 is measured in 21, and the processing above is performed while comparing this measured frequency with the reference frequency in 24. Next, leak vibration of the vibrator is adjusted into a prescribed value or less by balance processing. That is, respective frequencies for mechanical restrictions and release of the base part of vibrator 13 are compared with each other by comparator 29, and processing is performed so that their difference may be a prescribed value or less. Next, the frequency of vibrator 13 is caused to approach the objective frequency while holding this leak quantity at a fixed value or less. Thus, the frequency can be adjusted with a high precision in a short time. |
