N-Acyl-n-propargyl-aniline derivs. - useful as agricultural fungicides

N-Propargyl-aniline derivs. of formula (I) are new: (R1 is H, alkyl or halogen; R2, R3 and R4 are H or alkyl; R5 is H, alkyl, halogen or opt. substd. phenyl; R6 is (i) furyl, tetrahydrofuryl, thienyl or tetrahydrothienyl; (ii) isoxazolyl opt. substd. by alkyl; (iii) alkyl, alkenyl or alkynyl opt. substd. by CN or SCN; (iv) dihaloalkyl; (v) tetrahydro-2-pyranyloxymethyl; or (vi) CH3Az, CH2OR7, CH2SR7, OR7, SR7, CH2OSO2R7 or COOR7, where R7 is opt. substd. alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl or alkoxyalkyl and Az is 1-pyrazolyl, 1,2,4-triazol-1-yl or 1-imidazolyl). Cpds. (I) are fungicides with higher activity than prior art N-chloroacetyl-N-(2,6-dimethylphenyl)-alanine and -glycine alkyl esters (cf. DT2350944, US3780090), esp. against Phytophthora spp.
