Tyre creep test stand for large torque tyres - has step angular transducer measuring differential tyre-shaft movement (AT 15.5.80)

A tyre test stand is esp. suitable for testing tyre creep in tyres with large drive torques such as in high power tractors. The tyre under test is driven via a test rim with a main shaft whilst being braked by brake jaws. The creep is measured and indicated whilst the tyre is being driven. The test rim (2) or main shaft (1) drives an angular step transducer (4) whose housing (5) is connected to the tyre (7) under test by an indicator lever (6) and esp. via a sprung bolt (8). The creep between the tyre and test rim is derived from the differential motion of the shaft and housing. The main shaft is hollow and accepts the transducer drive shaft (3) which engages it via a clamp (9).
