PURPOSE:To provide anisotropic rare earth magnet or anisotropic rare earth magnet powder which has both high coercive force and high remaining flux density (that is, high maximum energy product). CONSTITUTION:Alloy powders (X) and (Y) manufactured by liquid quenching method are mixed. Here, alloy powder (X) is mainly composed of Nd, Fe(Co), B and has high remaining flux density after anisotropic processing, and alloy powder (Y), whereto Cu is added besides Nd, Fe(Co), B, attains high coercive force after anisotropic processing. After the mixed powder is formed by hot press, an anisotropic rare earth magnet is acquired by applying plastic deformation at a high temperature. Furthermore, the mixed powder is sealed in a metallic container and the container is hot-pressed; thereby, anisotropic rare earth magnet powder can be acquired. |
