<p>The invention provides an internal combustion engine comprising a piston and a cylinder head, one or more compression gaps between the piston and cylinder head when the piston is in the top dead centre position, two valves, a combustion chamber in the piston or cylinder head, and guide means for directing the flow of the charge in the combustion chamber, one wall of the combustion chamber being formed by the surface containing, the two valves and the area between them in the cylinder head, an opposite wall surface being formed by the piston, and side walls of the combustion chamber extending close to the periphery of said surface.</p> |
