Normally tacky and pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes, labels, etc. which, after being adhered to dry fibrous webs, remain firmly attached when the web and adhesive are exposed to moist conditions. These performance characteristics, which are not found when conventional pressure-sensitive adhesives are used, result from employing acrylate-based copolymer adhesives made from specific monomers and having inherent viscosities related to the monomers employed.
