<p>A process for the sepn. and concn. of particles generated in the body of a liq. medium comprises dissolving a gas under press. in the medium, inducing the formation of particles, expanding the mixt. of liq., dissolved gas and particles and sepg. the particles from the liq. by a flotation device. The process is partic. applicable when the particles have a tendency to retain liq. Decantation in this case is slow leading to the use of costly equipment, e.g. centrifuges. The process according to the invention allows concn. suspensions or creams to be obtd. economically and rapidly.</p> |
