The mono ski has a shaped upper section and a guide section formed on the lower side both edges of which are curved and extend symmetrical to the longitudinal axis of the ski. The mono ski has at least one hollow channel in the transfer area between the guide section and the edges of the upper section. The guide section (3) is made as a wedge which increases in height towards the rear end of the mono ski and with the point of the wedge located behind the curved part of the ski blade. The point of the wedge lies within the front third of the mono ski with the rear third of the wedge showing a greater degree of incline.
