Passing >=2 compns. contg. acrylic polymers of different heat shrinkage together through a multilayering app., dry spinning the multilayered compn. (multilayering factor = 0.05-0.5), drawing and drying the spun fibers, heat-treating the fibers at 115-35≦̸C in the wet and relaxed state, drawing the fibers at 120-70≦̸C to 1.2- 1.7 draw ratio, spinning a blend contg. 30-50 % of the resulting high-shrinkage fibers, and heat-treating the yarns at >=90≦̸C gave yarns with improved bulk.
