PURPOSE:To display the attribute to the terminal unit when a call is incoming, by providing the display circuit at the terminal unit of an exchanger requiring the display of attribute of the calling subscriber terminal unit and providing the subscriber memory corresponding to the calling subscriber terminal unit. CONSTITUTION:When a subscriber telephone set 601 is hooked off and the office line B-board operator call-out number is dialed, a common control circuit 610 controls a line control circuit 605, switch control circuit 606 and trunk control circuit 607 and the subscriber telephone set 601 is connected to an office line B-board 609. In this case, the circuit 610 simultaneously feeds the information relating to the subscriber telephone set 601 to the B-board 609 via the office line B-board control circuit 608, and the character information of the subscriber telephone set 601 is read out from the content of the memory stored in binary code in advance, the character information is converted into the information representing the attribute of the subscriber telephone set 601, and the converted information is displayed on the dot matrix type character display element.
