<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin for printing inks, comprising a polyurethane resin and having excellent adhesion to and strength of lamination on various plastic films and excellent boil retorting resistance by including a specified alcohol component and a diisocyanate compound. SOLUTION: This resin comprises a polyurethane resin comprising an alcohol component containing at least one compound selected among castor oil, a castor oil fatty acid and derivatives thereof, desirably an alcohol component containing a compound having an average hydroxyl functionality of 0.6-3 and an aromatic, aliphatic or alicyclic diisocyanate compound. If required, a chain extender and/or a polymerization stopper are incorporated in the polyurethane resin. From the viewpoint of adhesion and lamination strength, the polyurethane resin is desirably one containing 2×10<-6> to 4×10<-4> gram equivalent of free amino groups per g of the solid matter.</p> |
