<p>Appts. is claimed for electrolytic burnishing of small metal moulds e.g. of Fe, Cr, Co, Mo or alloys of these, and which contain concave surfaces. The appts. comprises a bath for the electrolyte equipped with a cathode, and a contact track supporting a carrier for the mould to be treated. The track carries two contact rails which are insulated from the each other. One rail connects with a carrier for the mould, and is connected to the anode source of a D.C. supply. The other rail connects with a supplementary cathode having a configuration which conforms with the shape of the mould. The main and supplementary cathodes are connected to the cathode source of the D.C. supply. The appts. gives improved results in the electrolytic polishing of small dental moulds contg. internal concave cavities.</p> |
