PURPOSE:To simplify a device and further a scanning mechanism through reduction of the quantity of load on an carriage by providing a gutter for recovering ink located on the carriage in an existing device on the side of a screen plate for screening the wind caused by the rotation of a cylindrical drum. CONSTITUTION:A member 10 prepared by uniting a screen plate 9 and a gutter 6 is provided in a position between a head 1 on a carriage 7 and a cylindrical drum 4 and near to the drum 4. In the intermediate part of the member 10 an ink pass slit 11 is provided in parallel to a scan axis 8. An ink particle not being charged and deflected by a deflecting electrode 3 goes straight ahead and strikes against the lower-side part 10a of the ink pass slit 11, flowing thereform to the gutter 6 and being recovered. To make sure of the recovering on to the side of the gutter 6, the part 10a against which the ink article going straight ahead strikes is raised by cutting to be a tilt surface. |
