It has been found that pastes of particulate polymers dispersed in a soft resin phase can be prepared and can then be made to harden by melting the thermoplastic binder. Polymers of the type of polystyrene and polyacrylate are particularly suitable for this purpose. When combined with a pigment or another colouring matter, these compositions can be used as printing inks, while in the absence of any colouring matter, they can be used as clear surface coating materials. |
