Undercut spigot and hexagonal location shoulder - provide installation element for anchor nut, with undercut radial groove

A cold formed anchor nut, of hexagonal profile (1), is provided with an axial location spigot (2). The cylindrical spigot body is axially compressed so that its free end expands radially. This produces a radially undercut groove (3). An axial shoulder (4) is located between the location spigot (2) and the nut body (1). It has a hexagonal cross section which in installation of the nut is being embedded in the sheet metal panel. Thus the torque applied on the nut is resisted by the hexagonal profile (4).
