Roll holder with space for reserve rolls of paper - allows spare roll to drop down into useful position when required using trap assembly without spindle

The roll (1') of paper in use, e.g. toilet paper, kitchen paper, foil etc lies without any support spindle in a dish (12) set in a holder (3) and provided with a tear-off edge (15). A box-like container (2) mounted above the holder has an open underside (8) and is used to store the spare rolls (1) which are stacked horizontally one above the other all without any support spindles. A trap (11) is mounted at the bottom of the open underneath (8) of the container where it is associated with an operating device (12) so that it can be moved from a closed position where it supports the bottom spare roll into an open position which releases the bottom of the container to allow the bottom roll to drop down under its own weight into the dish of the holder.
