The container for dispensing a concentrated sweetening substance for e.g. coffee making is divided into a main reservoir (3) and a dosing section (5). The dosing section is fitted with an orifice (6) and a bowed diaphragm (8) which is fitted in the wall of the container. The diaphragm is fixed around the edge (7) and may be reversed by a snap action. The action dispenses a fixed amount of concentrate from the container.
