PURPOSE:To maintain the repaired bottom surface of an electrode at a satisfactory surface roughness by providing a finishing device of the bottom surface close to a machining position in an electrospark machining apparatus in which an electrode repairing function is carried out in the way of the machining. CONSTITUTION:A finishing device 26 of an electrode bottom surface is provided close to a position in which a workpiece 12 is machined. The finishing device 26 comprises a finishing electrode 30 fixed to a carrier 28, and the horizontality and parallelism of the finishing electrode 30 are adjusted by heat adjusting screws 32. The finishing electrode 30 is formed by silver-tungsten, etc. Between the finishing electrode 30 and an electrode 14 which is moved from the machining position of the workpiece 12 along a shift track 100 to a position opposed to the finishing electrode 30 takes place a reverse discharging action to rapair and finish the consumed bottom surface of the electrode 14. |
