A movable body (4) for a utility vehicle has a vertical jacks (36) at each corner to support it above the vehicle floor. Each jack is mechanical and the rear ones are firmly fixed to the body and the front ones can be moved transversely relative to the body length. The movable jacks move to two end positions, one to minimum spacing at rest and in the other they are at maximum spacing, coming outside the outer shape of the vehicle. Their rods can be worked in each direction with a rack engaged by a pinion.
