PURPOSE:To enable to display the characters and symbols to express the receiving station such as the station name of the receiving station or its abbreviation in addition to the digital display of reception frequency, by converting and displaying the channel selection signal into character signal code and numeral code. CONSTITUTION:After selecting the broadcast station to be preset with the channel selection switch of the channel selection signal generating means 21, the operating mode of the character signal converting means 23 is changed over into the preset mode and the character signal is written in RAM or EPROM of the character signal converting means 23. The character symbol converting means 23 performs code conversion for the character signal code to the channel selection signal being the output of the channel selection signal generating means 21 with this preset, for output. Next, the numeral conversion means 24 outputs the reception frequency in numeral code to the channel selection signal from the channel selection signal generating means 21. The display means 25 selects the input code and performs character symbol display or frequency display. |
