The hay-making machine has a rigid frame and at least two rotors and is for fitting to a front three-point linkage of a tractor. To vary the spacing of the drive shafts of the two rotors (7, 8) the frame support (4) can be moved telescopically and can be fixed in the required operating positions. The frame support can also be brought into an inclined position by pivoting about a vertical axis (5). At least one of the rotors (e.g. rotor 7) can have its direction of rotation reversed.
