<p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to input information while information can be input to every area by detecting a change in current of a driving line which includes the position of an indication bar inside of a closed loop when the bar comes close to a required position on an input surface. CONSTITUTION:Current driving lines D1...Dm consist of parallel going and returning lines arranged so that closed loops formed of parallel going and returning lines will overlap one another, and detection lines S1...Sn consist of parallel going and returning lines so that closed loop, formed of parallel going and returning lines, insulated from driving lines D1...Dm and crossing at right angles will overlap one another. When indication bar 10 comes close to a required position on an input surface, changes in current supplied to driving lines D1...Dm including its position inside of the closed loops formed on parallel going and returning lines are detected by detecting circuit 6 by making use of a selective line selected by detection line selecting circuit 5. Consequently, information can be input without forming an area to which information can not be input.</p> |
