PURPOSE:To solidify poor subsoil in high strength, safely, by the use of a grouting liquid comprising an aqueous solution of silicic acid obtained by reacting an aqueous solution of water glass with CO2 gas in place of an acidic reactant, and adjusting the pH of the product to a non-alkaline level. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous solution containing water glass and CO2 gas, or water glass, CO2 gas and an acidic reactant, is prepared either by pressurizing an aqueous solution of water glass and CO2 gas in a mixer furnished with a spray nozzle, or by spraying a mixture of a water glass solution and CO2 gas through a spray nozzle into water or an acidic reactant (pref. sulfuric acid). The pH of the mixture is adjusted to acidic or neutral to obtain a non-alkaline silicic acid solution. The solution is impregnated as a grouting agent into a poor subsoil. |
