PURPOSE:To make the control or management in manufacturing steps and parts storage period of springs, by forming each spring with an elongated strip including at least two continuous spring units of different configurations and combining said spring units to form at least one juxtaposed leaf spring assembly. CONSTITUTION:An elongated sprip 3 for springs is formed of continually disposed units a1, b1, c1 corresponding respectively to No.1 leaf (a), No.2 leaf (b), and No.3 leaf (c). Portions a11, a12, a13, b11, b12, b13, c11 and c12 are so formed as to constitute a circular end portion, tapered portion, attachment portion, end portion of an ellipse or bugle shape, a tapered portion, attachment portion, tapered portion, and attachment portion respectively. Said strip 3 is cut into units a1, b1 and c1, heated, formed with circular end portions, hardened, and assembled into a juxtaposed leaf spring assembly. In the above way, it is possible to simplify the manufacturing process of leaf spring units and the storage of their parts and also to reduce accidental shortage of stored parts. It is sufficient to use a single line of manufacturing facilities, thereby facilitating maintenance work and unifying the quality of products. |
