PURPOSE:To aim at guiding insertion of a seat belt into a buckle and at preventing a tongue from being raised, by incorporating side plates integrally with a bottom plate of the buckle, by forming inward projections directed an tongue insertion hole, in the front end parts and intermediate parts of both side plates, and by rotatably supporting a latch in holes in the inward projections of the intermediate parts. CONSTITUTION:Both side plates 13 are integrally incorporated with a bottom plate 12 of a buckle 10 for locking a tongue 38 attached to one end part of a seat belt. Projections are incorporated integrally with the forward end parts and intermediate parts of both side plates 13, and are bent toward a tongue insertion hole so as to obtain inward projections 14a, 14b. Hole parts 15 are formed in the intermediate parts at positions where the inward projections are formed, so as to swingably support supporting parts 24 of a latch 17 adapted to be locked in an engaging hole in the tongue 38. A spring member 25 is arranged above the latch 17 for urging the latch 17 and a release button 30. The inward projections 14a, 14b allow smooth guide for the tongue 38 upon insertion, and prevent the tongue 38 from being raised up upon locking with the latch. |
