PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner particle improving dispersibility of a colorant and a release agent, and achieving a satisfactory particle size distribution, and to provide a method for producing the toner particle, a two component developer, a developing device, and an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: Toner raw materials comprising a polymerizable monomer, a colorant, a release agent or the like are mixed in a raw material mixing step (S1); and the mixture is emulsified under pressure in an emulsifying step (S2) so as to obtain a polymerizable composition. The polymerizable composition is cooled in a cooling step (S3), and the cooled polymerizable composition is decompressed in a decompression step (S4). In the polymerizable composition obtained in this way, the colorant and the release agent are uniformly finely dispersed, and polymerization reaction is performed in a polymerization step (S5), thereby obtaining toner particles with uniform particle diameters and a sharp particle size distribution.
