PURPOSE:To enable a printing even during the acceleration or deceleration of a motor to enhance a printing executing efficiency, by a method wherein, one basic input clock is divided by an arbitrary count number to generate a timing of motor travel pitch and a timing of printing dot pitch. CONSTITUTION:An FIFO register 18 is an odd-number side dot data storage register, and an FIFO register 19 is an even-number side dot data storage register. The dot data stored in the FIFO registers 18, 19 are successively fetched by a printing trigger outputted from timer counters 8, 9 and outputted to an odd-number dot data output port 20 and an even-number dot data output port 21 to he printed. Only by changing a division ratio of a motor to a basic pitch this invention can correspond to motors having various basic pitches. If characters having different dot pitches are present in one line, a printing can be carried out in one carriage passing by setting data corresponding to dot pitches. |
