PURPOSE:To transmit the pressure produced in an ink chamber to a nozzle orifice effectively by making a piezoelectric element play the role of a check valve at the inlet port of ink under the rising pressure in the ink chamber in a pressure-control type ink-jet printer. CONSTITUTION:A piezoelectric vibrator 13 is composed of an electrode 13a for controlling pressure and an electrode 13b for jetting ink particles. By the action of the electrode 13a for controlling pressure, the capacity of an ink chamber 15 is slightly reduced and made to do the action of a check valve. And then, when the inside capacity of the ink chamber 15 is sharply changed by the electrode 13b for producing ink particles, the change in pressure in the ink chamber acts effectively on the side of a nozzle orifice 16. |
