PRODUCTION OF CARBOXYLIC ACIDS FROM OLEFINS AND MIXTURES OF OLEFINS A process for producing carboxylic acids from olefins having from 16 to 20 carbon atoms or mixtures of olefins having from 20 to 24 carbon atoms which involves adding the olefin or mixtures of olefins without a solvent to carbon monoxide and sulfuric acid and thereafter adding water to the reaction product so formed.
