Gases from the rocker cover breather are supplied via a valve 5 and an exhaust heated chamber 7 to the intake manifold 10 downstream of the carburettor 11. The heater may be formed as a pipe section to be inserted between the exhaust manifold and exhaust pipe, Figs. 2 and 3 (not shown), or as a chamber to be welded into an aperture in the exhaust pipe, Figs. 4 and 5 (not shown).
