<p>The heating medium supply and discharge union is particularly for stretching tracks and drum-type driers used in chemical fibre industry. It has a housing for each roller on a column through which pass two pipe inside each other, preferably turning with the drum for the supply and discharge. The pipes are held centrally in the housing by sealing rings for the oil or steam used. An additional sealing ring (13) is fitted between the outer pipe (3) and the housing wall (7) and clear of the main ring (9, 10) while a leak-off pipe (15) for the medium is connected to the unpressurised chamber between the seals.</p> |
