PURPOSE:To reduce supply power and make possible good fixing by making the rotating speed of the heating roller for fixing lower than the conveying speed of paper in the devices other than the fixing device with the heating roller. CONSTITUTION:The recording paper having been transferred with toners is sucked by a porous endless belt 25 by a suction device 26 and is then conveyed and fed to an endless belt 27. This belt 27 absorbs the difference in the operating speeds between the apparatus body and the fixing device. More specifically, the belt 27 is put on a pair of rollers 29, 30 and the distance between the rollers 29, 30 is set nearly equal to the maximum length of recording paper 22. The one of the rollers 29, 30 of the fixing device 28 is then driven to revolve by the same DC motor M2 as that of the heating roller 31 and the recording paper feed speeds of the belt 27 and fixing device 28 are set the same. Hence, the recording paper is fed at the same speed as that of the photoreceptor 11 because it is partly attracted by the separating device 18. The paper is thus passed between the rollers 31, 32, at least one whereof is heated by a heater, whereby the toners are heated and fixed. Thereby, the heater heating capacity may be set low and the saving of electric power achieved. |
