Apparatus (62, 64) for removing particles from a travelling belt (10). When the belt (10) is stationary, a particle remover (62, 64) is spaced from belt (10). The belt (10) is deflected into engagement with the particle remover (62, 64) in response to longitudinal movement of the belt so that residual particles are removed from the belt, without a permanent set being induced in either the belt or the remover as a result of prolonged contact when stationary. |
