发明名称 VENTILATOR
摘要 The ventilator has an inhalation phase and an exhalation phase in its operative cycle for use with a source of gas under pressure. It has an inlet which is adapted to be connected to the source of gas under pressure and first and second outlets. A sequencing switch is provided which has an inlet and an outlet. The inlet of the sequencing switch is connected to the inlet of the ventilator. The sequencing switch includes control valve means movable between open and closed positions to control the flow of gas from the inlet to the outlet of the sequencing switch. The ventilator also includes a patient adapter. The outlet of the sequencing switch is connected to the first outlet of the ventilator. The patient adapter is connected to the first outlet from the ventilator. An exhalation valve assembly is connected to the patient adapter and is movable between open and closed positions and in the open position, permits gas to flow from the patient adapter to the atmosphere and in a closed position, permits the flow of gas from the patient adapter to the atmosphere. The second outlet of the ventilator is connected to the inlet of the ventilator. The exhalation valve assembly is connected to the second outlet of the ventilator and the gas supplied therefrom is used for maintaining the exhalation valve assembly in a closed position. A pressure sensitive device is utilized for sensing pressure and is used for switching the sequencing switch between its open and closed positions. A timing device is also provided for switching the sequencing switch between the open and closed positions. A mode selector is provided for selecting whether the pressure or time cycling mode is to be effective. Apneustic flow means is provided for supplying gas to the patient after the sequencing switch has been moved from an open to a closed position. A demand flow accelerator responsive to pressure in the patient airways is utilized for supplying gas to the patient adapter upon patient demand. A baseline compensator is provided for supplying gases to the patient adapter so that the patient must exhale against a positive pressure. A bypass circuit is utilized for removing some of the gas from the baseline compensator and bypasses the demand flow accelerator to supply gas to the first outlet of the ventilator.
