Windscreen wiper bearing - made of polyamide bush with specified mineral filler percentage

The bearing for the support of the spindle of a windscreen wiper for motor vehicles is made of a plastic bush and a through bore. Several grooves are left in the spindle to act as grease retainers. The pref. material for the bearing bush is a polyamide 60 (Minlon (RTM)) with a mineral filler of 30-50 wt.% (40 wt.%). The external mounting flange of the bush is fitted with an annular recess. The wiper spindle can additionally be fitted with an O-ring. This requires no extra bearing shell and the spindle runs directly on polyamide which has adequate endurance and heat resistance.
