PURPOSE:To make possible inexpensive multicolor recording with a simple construction of the equipment by selectively heating the ink dot of the desired color during the recording with thermosensitive solid inks of two or more colors distributed in dots on the sheet-shaped medium in a regular and even manner. CONSTITUTION:A thermosensitive ink paper 2 closely adheres to the recording paper on the ink applied surface and is sent to the thermal head 3 in the direction of the arrow Z. At this point, when a heating element 6 of the thermal head 3 is selectively energized according to the position and color of the recording, the ink dot of the desired color is heated melted corresponding to the recording position among ink dots of three colors regularly mixed on the thermosensitive ink paper 2 and transferred onto the recording paper 1. Thus, a multicolor recording can be obtained distinctly classified by colors. For example when the characters of , , , are recorded, a multicolor recording is obtained containing the character of in red, in blue and in yellow simply by heating the respective ink dots of red, blue and yellow corresponding to the recording position of each character. |
