PURPOSE:To decrease the frictional force of a heat sensitive paper and exothermic elements to reduce the sticking phenomenon and improve the picture quality by providing an adjacent layer 6 adjacent and parallel to a number of exothermic elements 2 arranged linearly on the insulating base plate of a thermal recording head. CONSTITUTION:A number of exothermic elements 2 are linearly arranged on a ceramic insulating base plate 1 of a thermal recording head used in a facsimile printer or the like, and these exothermic elements 2 are selectively heat-generated to carry out recording on a heat sensitive recording medium. An adjacent layer 6 is provided adjacent to and parallel to the exothermic elements 2 of the thermal recording head of this system. By this organization, at the time of the shift of the heat sensitive paper 4, the frictional force of the heat sensitive paper 4 and the exothermic elements 2 can be decreased, and the sticking phenomenon can be reduced. Further, since the contact angle theta of the heat sensitive element 2 becomes large, the contour of the recorded dot at the time of recording becomes vivid, and thus the picture quality becomes improved. |
