The appts. consists of a tank contg. water, which is circulated by a pump through a thermostat to attain a specified temp.f and the tank has a double-walled lid so a humidity chamber is formed above the surface of the water. The tank also contains a holder for a row of incubation cells; and a second holder contg. glass tubes filled with reagents; both holders can be removed from the tank. The tank also contains a trough, in which glass object carriers are located; and an electric motor is located on top of the tank and used to vibrate the trough while the latter is in the humidity chamber. A single reliable and inexpensive appts. can replace several separate and expensive units normally used for incubation.
