<p>PURPOSE:To simplify the piping work and enable reduction of the space required for installation by arranging a hydraulic-pressure control valve (proportioning valve) in a tandem master cylinder of a two-system-type safety brake device. CONSTITUTION:In the main body of a cylinder 1 chambers 5 and 6 are formed by fitting a primary piston 3 and a secondary piston 4 into the body in the shearing- free manner, in such a way that the chambers 5 and 6 communicate with a reservoir 2 through supply-ports 7 and 8 and relief ports 9 and 10. Moreover, in the main body 1 is also formed a blind hole with steps composed of plunger holes 18 and 19 with small and large diameters respectively, while a communicating hole 21 leading from the chamber 5 to the hole 19 and a rear-wheel cylinder connecting port 22 with the opening at the bottom of the hole 18 being formed. Then, a proportioning valve 23 containing a plunger 24, a poppet valve-body 25 etc. is built in the liquid- taking out route for the rear wheel (21, 18, 19, and 22), thus a master cylinder being composed.</p> |
