PURPOSE:To improve the kneading and homogenization of resin, raise productivity and provide a shaped piece without flow marks or the like, by securing special mixing rings on the cylinder and shaft of screw of a resin melting extruder. CONSTITUTION:Numerous mixing rings 5 are secured at a prescribed interval with inserted pieces 4 on a shaft at the tip of the screw of an extruder. Other numerous mixing rings 8 are secured with inserted pieces 9 on the inside surface of a cylinder 11 so that the latter mixing rings are located between the former mixing rings. Inward and outward grooves 13, 14, which are alternately oblique to the flowing direction (a) of resin, are provided on the inside surfaces of the mixing rings 8 secured on the cyliner. Other inward and outward grooves 18, 19, which are also alternately oblique to the flowing direction (a) of resin, are provided on the outside surfaces of the mixing rings 5 secured on the shaft. When the molten resin is conducted along both the mixing rings 5, 8, the resin is divided into the inward and outward grooves. Therefore, the resin is kneaded well. |
