An electrical element in an oil filled radiator provides the heat source and is protected against overheating and over-consumption of electricity by a thermostat. A safety valve prevents explosions if the thermostat should fail and not cut off the current. An electrical radiator comprises several adjacent radiator elements (1) in which a tube allows circulation of a liquid. Blades around the tube ensure that the heat is dissipated by radiation and convection. One blade contains a housing to receive a mounting nut to permit mounting of the upper (13) and lower (12) collector assemblies. An electrical element (16) is connected via thermostatic elements (18, 19) to a mains supply cable (17). A safety valve (21) in the upper collector assembly operates when the pressure reaches a predetermined value.
