Barbed strip laid from coil - has guide notches ensuring accuracy of barb cut positions

The barbed strip is designed for laying by a mobile machine over long distances from coils. It has guide notches (1) ensuring that the cuts (3) forming the barbs are exactly positioned, and that the steel barbs are bent outwards (2) accurately along their roots (4), also stabilising the strip. The notches can be stamped out of the strip at regular intervals along both sides, the barb cuts being formed between them. To save space, the barbs can lie in the plane of the strip while this is wound onto the coil.
