The coupling for aircraft control linkages, has one part inserted into another and held there by a spring-loaded device. The inserted part (7) fits over a lug (4) in one arm (2) of a hollow, forked standing part (1), whose other arm (3) is a sliding bar, which in forward position covers the lug free end (5). This bar projects from the base of a cup-shaped slider in the standing part bore (8). A helical spring (11), bearing against a stop (24) in the bore tends to push this slider forwards. A transverse sliding bolt (12) through the slider base is spring-loaded to lock it in that position.
