<p>The arrangement for electroslag refining contains electrode holders 6, 7, designed to fasten at least two fusible electrodes 8, 9, which are connected to the different connection terminals of an alternating current source 3, a chill mould 2, and a bottom plate 1. The chill mould and the bottom plate are joined to each other and connected via rectifiers 19, 20 to the alternating current source, wherein the rectifiers are connected to the same connection terminals of the alternating current source as are the electrode holders. The rectifiers are hooked up in the circuit so that direct current only flows through the bottom plate and the chill mould in the direction toward the alternating current source via the rectifiers. <IMAGE></p> |
